Accesspaper

Assignment: Create a visual identity and website for Accesspaper, a global e-marketplace for the pulp, paper and packaging industry. The platform aimed to offer unlimited choice, alternative business solutions and direct contact between suppliers and customers.

Challenge: The project was carried out during the IT boom of the early 2000s and required a modern, clear and functional design. The identity needed to reflect the seriousness of the industry while being adapted for the emerging digital commerce.

Solution: We created a minimalist and stylish identity where the logo – a paper airplane – symbolized speed, communication and the industry’s connection to paper. The color palette of green, blue and purple reinforced the professional yet innovative feel. The website was developed in collaboration with Burson & Marsteller to ensure a strategic and market-adapted solution.

To create a visual whole, an image language was developed using photographs from the wood industry in both color and black and white. Icons were designed to give the website a clear and user-friendly structure. In addition, communication consultants were trained in Dreamweaver, the tool used to build the website.

Results

Accesspaper was launched as an ambitious digital marketplace, but the project was shelved in May 2000 and shut down after CellMark acquired the company later that year. Despite this, the project was an important experience in digital branding and web design in a rapidly changing market.
